Fully supported by GM’s other top leaders, Harley sent his GM Styling representatives to the motion picture capital to have this short Hollywood film crafted to be displayed for hundreds of thousands of viewers at the 1956 GM Motorama shows crisscrossing America. Important to note, when GM's giant leaders, back then, laid down the gauntlet publicly that they were going to do something to shape the future of the driving world, they meant it!  Don’t be fooled by the tongue and cheek nature of the film, Harley Earl envisioned America’s first autonomous “Auto Safety Highway of Tomorrow” which was supposed to be part of this country’s wide landscape by the mid-1970s.
